Con l’annuncio dei vincitori della 15esima edizione dei VES Awards 2017, i premi della Visual Effects Society Awards, iniziamo a capire quale film è effettivamente il frontrunner per l’Oscar come Migliori Effetti visivi dell’anno.
Si tratta de Il Libro della Giungla, l’incredibile avventura targata Disney uscita a marzo e capace di incassare quasi 1 miliardo di dollari, che ha sorpreso tutti per i suoi effetti visivi incredibili e gli animali ricreati con una CG a dir poco perfetta (il film è stato girato interamente in studio e realizzato con la tecnica della performance capture). Con cinque premi importanti ai VES Awards, il kolossal si prepara a vincere un meritato Oscar il 26 febbraio. Tra i film premiati anche Doctor Strange, Alla Ricerca di Dory e Oceania, tra l’altro tutti distribuiti da Walt Disney.
Tra le serie tv, senza rivali Game of Thrones (cinque premi), che ha stupito tutti lo scorso giugno con La battaglia dei Bastardi, uno dei migliori episodi televisivi mai realizzati.
