Giungono su Twitter le prime reazioni della stampa americana che ha potuto visionare in anteprima Star Trek Beyond, terzo film della nuova linea temporale lanciata da J.J. Abrams con Star Trek. L’embargo per le recensioni verrà rimosso dalla Paramount Pictures mercoledì 20 luglio.

Il giudizio è per la maggior parte positivo, diversi utenti parlano di richiami alla serie originale (TOS), apprezzate le performance di Karl Urban, Idris Elba, Sofia Boutella e Chris Pine:
