Creative Arts Emmy Awards – Stranger Things, SNL e Westworld ottengono 5 vittorie a testa

Ieri sera si è tenuta, al Microsoft Theatre nel centro di Los Angeles, la seconda serata dei Creative Arts Emmy Awards, durante la quale sono stati premiati Westworld, Veep, Big Little Lies e The Night Of della HBO, Stranger Things e The Crown di Netflix.

Westworld si è portato a casa 5 premi: visual effects, sound mixing, interactive programming, capelli e trucco; anche Saturday Night Live ha ottenuto lo stesso numero di statuette, Dave Chappelle ha vinto come presentatore e Melissa McCarthy per la sua apparizione come ex segretaria della Casa Bianca, Sean Spicer.

Stranger Things si è portato a casa 5 premi tra cui quello per il main title design e music ma sopratutto il Casting For a Drama Series, un premio che di solito è un precursore della vittoria per la miglior serie, così è stato negli ultimi 2 anni con Game of Thrones e con Veep, che ha vinto per la terza volta consecutiva l’Emmy per il Casting In a Comedy Series.

This is Us si è portato a casa il premio per il guest drama actor (Gerald McRaney) mentre The Handmaid’s Tale il guest drama actress per l’interpretazione di Alexis Bledel. (Si tratta del primo premio per la recitazione per Hulu).

Handmaid’s Tale ha vinto in tutto 3 Emmy, The Crown due e House Of Cards uno. Better Call Saul è l’unico show, tra quelli nominati come miglior serie drammatica, a non aver vinto nulla ai Creative Arts.

Alla fine delle due serate l’emittente leader è stata la HBO con 19 vittorie, seguito a coda da Netflix con 16.
