Annie Awards 2025: Il robot selvaggio vince come miglior film, Arcane stagione 2 come serie

Il robot selvaggio continua a fare incetta di premi, il film della DreamWorks Animation ha ottenuto nove vittorie alla 52a edizione degli Annie Awards tra cui miglior film, mentre la stagione due di Arcane ha dominato la categoria TV/Media con sette vittorie. Entrambi hanno vinto in tutte le categorie in cui erano stati nominati, mentre il lettone Flow ha vinto due Annie: miglior film indipendente e miglior sceneggiatura (Gints Zilbalodis e Matīss Kaža).

Le due pellicole sono i frontrunner agli Oscar, questa notte Il robot selvaggio ha vinto come miglior lungometraggio animato ai PGA e ieri ai Critics Choice Awards mentre Flow il mese scorso ha vinto ai Golden Globe nella stessa categoria. Da quando l’Academy ha stabilito la categoria per il miglior film animato, 23 anni, il vincitore degli Annie è stato poi confermato 15 volte agli Oscar, negli ultimi cinque anni solo due volte.

Gli altri film che hanno vinto sono: Cattivissimo me 4 per il miglior storyboard e Il Regno del Pianeta delle Scimmie per animazione personaggi in live-action.

Nonostante le sette nomination ciascuno, Inside Out 2 e Wallace e Gromit – Le piume della vendetta sono rimasti a bocca asciutta.

Il robot selvaggio ha vinto per la miglior regia (Chris Sanders), doppiaggio (Lupita Nyong’o come voce del robot Roz), musica (Kris Bowers), effetti visivi (Derek Cheung, Michael Losure, David Chow, Nyoung Kim e Steve Avoujageli), animazione del personaggio (Fabio Lignini), production design (Raymond Zibach e Ritchie Sacilioc), character design (Genevieve Tsai) e montaggio (Mary Blee, Collin Erker, Orlando Duenas, Lucie Lyon e Brian Parker).

Anche la seconda stagione di Arcane ha fatto incetta di premi, tra cui regia (Arnaud Delord, Pascal Charrue e Bart Maunoury), FX (Guillaume Degroote, Aurélien Ressencourt, Adam Bachiri, Guillaume Zaouche, Jérôme Dupré); animazione del personaggio (Tom Gouill); musica (Ryan Jillian Santiago, Alexander Seaver e Simon Wilcox); production design (Arnaud-Loris Baudry, Julien Georgel, Faustine Dumontier, Charlotte O’Neil); storyboard (Joséphine Meis); e montaggio (Nazim Meslem, Gilad Carmel e Roberto Fernandez). Orion e il Buio ha vinto come best special production e sceneggiatura – TV/Media (Charlie Kaufman).
