I primi commenti della stampa straniera su Star Wars: Skeleton Crew sono proprio quelli che ci si potrebbe aspettare da una serie del genere.
I giornalisti hanno avuto modo di vedere i primi due episodi, e ne parlano con un certo entusiasmo. Molti sostengono che Jon Watts e Christopher Ford siano riusciti a restituire le atmosfere de I Goonies e – più in generale – dei film Amblin degli anni Ottanta, loro punto di riferimento per questo show. I piccoli Wim (Ravi Cabot-Conyers), Fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong), KB (Kyriana Kratter) e Neel (Robert Timothy Smith) sono protagonisti assoluti: anche per questa ragione, le reazioni dicono che Skeleton Crew introduce un punto di vista nuovo sull’universo di Star Wars.
Qualcuno celebra il ritorno del “senso di meraviglia” nella galassia lontana lontana, qualcun altro dice che le prime due puntate ci mettono un po’ a entrare nel vivo, ma comunque non deludono. Apprezzamenti anche per l’umorismo, il cast e lo spirito avventuroso. Come sappiamo, i quattro ragazzini troveranno un’astronave abbandonata sul loro pianeta natale (che somiglia alle province suburbane americane), e partiranno per un viaggio inaspettato. In cerca della strada di casa, saranno aiutati dal misterioso Jod Na Nawood (Jude Law), che sostiene di essere un Jedi.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew segue il viaggio di quattro ragazzi che fanno una misteriosa scoperta sul loro pianeta natale, apparentemente sicuro, per poi perdersi in una galassia strana e pericolosa. Skeleton Crew
Skeleton Crew è stata creata da Jon Watts e Christopher Ford, che hanno già lavorato insieme in Clown, Cop Car e Spider-Man: Homecoming. L’idea di Watts è raccontare una storia di formazione in stile Amblin, ma nell’universo di Star Wars.
