Emmy 2024: Shōgun ottiene 25 nomination, seguito da The Bear e Only Murders In The Building

Tony Hale e Sheryl Lee Ralph hanno annunciato oggi pomeriggio le nomination della 76ma edizione dei Primetime Emmy Awards, il più importante riconoscimento televisivo americano.

Il più alto numero di nomination se lo è aggiudicato Shōgun di FX, seguito da The Bear (23, la seconda stagione e non la terza attualmente in onda), Only Murders in the Building (21), True Detective: Night Country (19) e The Crown (18). Prestiamo attenzione anche alle nomination ottenute da Baby Reindeer (11), Fallout (11) e The Gilded Age (6).

Assenti serie di punta come House of the Dragon (HBO), Severance (Apple TV+), The Last of Us (HBO), Yellowjackets (Showtime), The White Lotus (HBO) la cui messa in onda ha subito dei ritardi a causa degli scioperi. Di conseguenza questo ha portato alla loro non eleggibilità per la 76a edizione.

Record e non solo

I premi Oscar 2024 Robert Downey Jr. (Oppenheimer) e Da’Vine Joy Randolph (The Holdovers), hanno ricevuto entrambi una nomination. Nominati invece all’Oscar, che hanno ricevuto una nomination sono invece: Ryan Gosling (Barbie) per la conduzione di Saturday Night Live; Lily Gladstone (Killers of the Flower Moon) per Under the Bridge; Jodie Foster (Nyad) per True Detective: Night Country e Sterling K. Brown (American Fiction) per Invincible.

The Crown ha ricevuto il maggior numero di nomination in diverse categorie: attore, attrice, attore non protagonista, attrice non protagonista (x2), attrice guest star, production design, casting, fotografia (x2), costumi contemporanei, regia, trucco storico/fantasy/sci-fi (non protesi), colonna sonora originale, sound mixing, effetti speciali visivi e sceneggiatura.

L’ultimo ruolo di Treat Williams, prima della sua morte lo scorso giugno, gli è valsa una nomination per la sua interpretazione in Feud: Capote vs. the Swans. Carol Burnett (91) diventa l’attrice più anziana a ricevere una nomination nella categoria comedy, per la sua interpretazione in Palm Royale. Entrano nella storia le nomination delle attrici indigene Lily Gladstone e Kali Reis nella categoria per la miglior attrice non protagonista in serie limitata o antologica o film, rispettivamente per Under the Bridge e True Detective: Night Country.

Doppia candidatura per Jon Hamm con Fargo e The Morning Show.

The Bear, nuovo record per il maggior numero di nomination per una serie comedy, spodestando 30 Rock (22).

Netflix ha avuto il maggior numero di nomination, 107, seguito da FX con il numero record di 93 e da HBO/Max con 91.
