Oscar 2022: Qualificati 93 film internazionali e 138 documentari

L’Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences ha pubblicato le liste dei film che si sono qualificati nelle categorie: Documentary Feature e International Feature Film della 94ma edizione della Cerimonia degli Oscar.

Sono 138 i documentari eleggibili. I membri del ramo documentario voteranno per determinare la lista breve e i nominati della categoria per il miglior documentario.

93 invece i paesi che hanno proposto delle pellicole eleggibili per la categoria per il miglior film internazionale, lo stesso numero dell’anno scorso. Per qualificarsi in questa categoria i film devono durare più di 40 minuti ed essere prodotti al di fuori degli Stati Uniti, con più di 50% del linguaggio non in lingua inglese.

Per la prima volta quest’anno la Somalia è riuscita a qualificarsi, con il film The Gravedigger’s Wife.

Le votazioni per le liste brevi di 15 pellicole cominceranno venerdì e si concluderanno il 15 dicembre. Le liste verranno annunciate il 21 dicembre.
