Sono in corso le riprese della serie live-action targata The CW e ispirata alle Superchicche (The Powerpuff Girls), la serie a cartoni animati creata da Craig McCracken e prodotta da Hanna-Barbera per Cartoon Network.

Nella serie vedremo le super protagoniste ormai cresciute vivere nel ricordo dei vecchi tempi in cui combattevano il crimine. Il mondo però ha ancora bisogno di loro.
Nel cast troveremo anche Donald Faison, star di Scrubs, nel ruolo del Professor Drake Utonium.
Heather Regnier (Veronica Mars) e Diablo Cody (Juno) si occuperanno della sceneggiatura dell’episodio pilota, che sarà diretto da Maggie Kiley. Le tre parteciperanno anche come produttrici esecutive, in collaborazione con Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter e David Madden.
