Creative Arts Emmys – Free Solo vince sette statuette

La prima parte delle premiazioni dei Creative Arts Emmys, la cerimonia che onora i conseguimenti artistici e tecnici televisivi, si è tenuta ieri sera al Microsoft Theater di Los Angeles.

I grandi vincitori della serata sono stati il documentario premio Oscar Free Solo che ha vinto in tutte e sette le categorie in cui è stato nominato. Per il quarto anno consecutivo RuPaul ha vinto come conduttore di reality con “RuPaul’s Drag Race” mentre “Queer Eye” di Netflix si è portato a casa quattro premi.

Premi postumi e speciali

Anthony Bourdain ha vinto postumi due Emmy per la serie “Parts Unknown”: come serie informativa e la scrittura. Norman Lear, una leggenda della televisione, è diventato la persona più anziana (97 anni) ad aver vinto un Emmy nella sua carriera, grazie allo speciale “Live in Front of a Studio Audience” prodotto da Jimmy Kimmel. Sir David Attenborough (93) ha vinto per la narrazione del documentario “Our Planet” di Netflix.

I Simpson” hanno vinto come miglior programma animato, “Leaving Neverland” di HBO è stato riconosciuto come ‘uno speciale documentario’. I filmaker di “RBG” e “The Sentence” hanno ottenuto dei meriti eccezionali.

Netflix si erge con 15 vittorie (la vittoria comprende diverse vittorie nel campo animato), seguono: National Geographic con 8; CNN ed NBC con 5; Fox, HBO e YouTube con 4.
