842 nuovi membri sono pronti per unirsi all’Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Non è ancora chiaro se tutti si aggiungeranno ma in caso di risposta affermativa da parte di ognuno di loro è stato confermato che la percentuale di donne crescerà dal 25% del 2015 e 32% del 2019 al 50% nel 2020.
Nello specifico si tratta di nomi provenienti da 59 paesi, cosa che porterà la percentuale di membri non caucasici dell’Academy a crescere dall’8% di quattro anni fa e 16% del 2019 al 29% del 2020.
L’elenco è lunghissimo e comprende star come Lady Gaga, Tom Holland, Jennifer Kent, Jon M. Chu, Phil Lord & Christopher Miller. Tra loro anche grani nomi del panorama cinematografico italiano come Carlo Verdone, Matteo Garrone, Giancarlo Giannini e Toni Servillo.
