La lista dei brani musicali che comporranno la colonna sonora della versione CG iperrealistica de Il Re Leone sono state quasi
completamente rivelate dalla Disney. Possiamo già confermare che tutte le canzoni del lungometraggio originale sono presenti.
Nuove versioni
Nella lista troviamo anche ‘Be Prepared’ ma si tratta di una nuova versione. Non sappiamo se la differenza riguarda solo il cambio di interprete, Chiwetel Ejiofor al posto di Jeremy Irons, o se magari è stato realizzato anche un nuovo arrangiamento.
Rimane ancora un mistero per la 14° traccia? Quale canzone sarà? Potrebbe essere il nuovo brano cantato a Beyoncé?

Il cast:
James Earl Jones nel ruolo di Mufasa, il padre di Simba doppiato da Donald Glover, mentre Alfre Woodard presterà la voce a sua madre Sarabi. Billy Eichner e Seth Rogen doppieranno Timon e Pumbaa. Chiwetel Ejiofor doppia Scar il fratello di Mufasa nonché antagonista del film. I suoi tirapiedi – ovvero le tre iene – saranno Florence Kasumba nel ruolo di Shenzi, Eric André in quello di Azizi e Keegan-Michael Key nella parte di Kamari.
JD McCrary doppierà Simba da piccolo, affiancato da Shahadi Wright Joseph nel ruolo della giovane Nala. John Kani presterà la voce al saggio babbuino Rafiki, mentre John Oliver interpreterà il bucero Zazu.
Il Re Leone, diretto da Jon Favreau (Il libro della giungla), verrà distribuito nelle sale italiane dal 21 agosto 2019.
