Gli incendi in California distruggono il Paramount Ranch usato per le riprese di Westworld

Si stima che 250mila persone siano state evacuate nella California del Sud a causa degli incendi che stanno colpendo lo stato. Gli incendi: Camp Fire, Woolsey Fire e Hill Fire hanno distrutto centinaia di case.

Lo storica area western del Paramount Ranch ad Agoura Hills, usata per girare delle scene di Westworld, ieri è stata rasa al suolo dall’incendio.

HBO ha rilasciato un comunicato:

“Paramount Ranch è stato uno dei luoghi utilizzati durante la prima e la seconda stagione di Westworld, oltre alla location principale a Melody Ranch a Santa Clarita. Westworld non è attualmente in produzione e, poiché l’area è stata evacuata, non conosciamo ancora l’entità dei danni ad eventuali strutture rimaste lì. Cosa ancora più importante, i nostri pensieri vanno a tutte le persone colpite da questi orribili incendi”.

In passato il ranch è stato usato come location di Un pazzo va alla guerra con Bob Hope, La casa sul lago del tempo con Sandra Bullock, American Sniper, Norbit, The Love Bug, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer e serie tv come The Mentalist, Weeds, Quickdraw e La signora del West.

La produzione di Drunk History di Comedy Central, girata al King Gillette Ranch nelle montagne di Santa Monica, è stata fermata. Rimangono in produzione altre serie girate nell’area: Suits di USA, SWAT della CBS ed NCIS.
