Lucifer – Da #SaveLucifer all’enorme cliffhanger del finale della stagione tre

Per due giorni di seguito due show cancellati dalla Fox sono diventati trending topic su Twitter, dopo #Brooklyn99 (fortunatamente salvato da NBC) è stata la volta di #SaveLucifer.

Riuscirà la Warner Bros. TV, spinta dal supporto dei fan, a trovare una nuova emittente/piattaforma per lo show? Deadline riporta che WBTV vuole proporre Lucifer alle piattaforme streaming e ai canali via cavo, considerando che Hulu detiene i diritti di SVOD potrebbe essere la casa perfetta ma pare che sia una possibilità remota.

Ma non dimentichiamo la possibilità di spostare lo show su DC Universe, la piattaforma digitale della DC, dove andrà in onda Titans.

Su Twitter lo showrunner Joe Henderson ha rivelato di aver creato un finale di stagione con un gigantesco cliffhanger che sarà incredibilmente frustrante per i fan.

“Abbiamo creato un finale di stagione con un enorme cliffhanger in modo che Fox non potesse in alcun modo cancellarci. Invece, fare frustare increibilmente i fan. Mi dispiace molto per questo”.

We created a season finale with a huge cliffhanger so that there was no way Fox could cancel us. Instead, we’re going to frustrate the hell out of you fans. I’m so sorry for that. #Lucifer

Ed ha poi aggiunto:

“A proposito, il finale di #Lucifer è la miglior ora di televisione che ho avuto la fortuna di scrivere. Chiude tutte le storie della stagione. Ma quello che stuzzica della quarta stagione… beh, forse, solo forse, possiamo #SaveLucifer e mostrarvelo”.

For the last 3 years I’ve had the privilege of working on Lucifer with some of the most incredible people in this industry. We literally had a “no asshole” policy. I’ve grown up on this show. Married my husband during season 1, found out I was pregnant on season 2 and had my son season 3. Being your Mazikeen has been so very special to me for so many reasons. Playing this fiercely strong yet vulnerable, pansexual demon, has been my honor. To discover on a weekly basis, just how much a character like her, who looks like me, means to so many out there, has made my heart swell. I read your messages and fan mail and I’ve loved getting to know you as we tweet every Monday. I will miss that. To the fans, you’re incredible. Truly. You took us from a pilot to a series and a pick up not once, but three times. I’m incredibly sad we don’t get to give you another season because I truly feel there’s so much story left to tell. Thank you for your support, your constructive criticism and for giving us three wonderful years together. ?? To my incredible cast mates, my family. I love each and everyone of you and while we will all go on to our next project, this time with you has been a career highlight for me. I just finished my final ADR session for #lucifer [ever.] I am very sad our show is going away. I genuinely enjoyed every second we spent making this incredible show. I know we will all move on to different experiences. It is the nature of what we do, but NO job has ever compared to the experience I had on this show. I love you my beautiful cast and crew(s). You all inspired me to be a better Actor, Director,and Human being. As for the FANS! We were Nothing without you. We made this show for you.
