Saturn Awards 2017 – The Walking Dead e Rogue One i più nominati nelle rispettive categorie

Sono state annunciate dall’Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films le nomination delle categorie cinematografiche e di quelle televisive della 43 edizione del Saturn Awards.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story guida le candidature cinematografiche che 11 nomination, seguita da Il Grande Gigante Gentile di Steven Spielberg e Doctor Strange entrambe con 10 nomination, e da Captain America: Civil War con 8. Seguono con 7 Animali Fantastici e con 6 Arrival e Il libro della giungla. Il diritto di contare ha ottenuto 2 candidature: miglior film d’azione/avventura e miglior attrice in un film (Taraji P. Henson).
Nella categoria animata segnaliamo la presenza di Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV e l’assenza di Your Name.

Gli Walt Disney Studios guidano con 20 candidature, seguiti dai Marvel/Walt Disney Studios con 18, dalla Warner Bros. con 16, dalla Paramount con 15, e dalla Lucasfilm Ltd/Walt Disney Studios e dalla 20th Century Fox con 11; 7 per la Universal Pictures, 4 per Lionsgate e The Weinstein Company.

Nel settore televisivo troviamo The Walking Dead al comando con 7 nomination, seguono con 6 Westworld, con 5 American Horror Story: Roanoke, con 4 Fear the Walking Dead, Outlander e Supergirl. Stranger Things ha ricevuto tre candidature: miglior serie in un nuovo medium, una per Millie Bobby Brown e una per Winona Ryder.
