Critics’ Choice Awards – Birdman domina le nomination

Nuova tappa per la Season Awards, ossia la stagione dei premi che ci porterà alla notte degli Oscar 2015. La Broadcast Film Critics Association ha infatti diffuso i nomi delle pellicole candidate alla 20° edizione dei Critics’ Choice Awards. Si tratta di uno degli ultimi indicatori che ci conferma o meno le pellicole favorite verso la corsa le statuette dell’Academy, soprattutto per quanto riguarda le categorie principali.

L’edizione dello scorso anno venne vinta da 12 Anni Schiavo di Steve McQueen mentre Alfonso Cuarón venne premiato per la regia di Gravity: verdetto che fu poi confermato dagli Oscar. Lo stesso valse per gli attori: Cate Blanchett per Blue Jasmine, Matthew McConaughey e Jared Leto per Dallas Buyers Club  (Dallas Buyers Club), Lupita Nyong’o per 12 Anni Schiavo.

Quest’anno a dominare è Birdman: la commedia nera dal cast all-star diretta da Alejandro González Iñárritu si è aggiudicata 13 nomination. Seguono Grand Budapest Hotel con 11 e Boyhood con 8. Per la categoria più importante del Miglior Film sono in gara anche Gone Girl, The Imitation Game, Nightcrawler, Selma, The Theory of Everything, Unbroken e Whiplash.
