In attesa dei premi per eccellenza, aka gli Oscar che saranno consegnati questa domenica notte, oggi vi riportiamo le nomination di altri riconoscimenti di un certo interesse: i Saturn Awards, ossia i riconoscimenti assegnati dall’Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films che premiano il cinema di genere (fantascienza, fantasy, horror, action).
A dominare le nomination con 8 candidature a testa sono Gravity di Alfonso Cuaron e Lo Hobbit: la Desolazione di Smaug di Peter Jackson. Subito dietro con 7 segnalazioni (tra cui quella per miglior film sci-fi) troviamo Hunger Games: la Ragazza di Fuoco e poi, con 5 nomination, Iron Man 3, Pacific Rim, Into Darkness – Star Trek e Thor: The Dark World.
Quest’anno sono state inoltre introdotte due nuove categorie ovvero “Miglior trasposizione da fumetto a film” dove troviamo in gara L’Uomo d’Acciaio, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World e Wolverine: l’Immortale, e poi “Miglior attore giovane in una serie televisiva” (i Saturn Awards premiano anche le opere del piccolo schermo). Segnaliamo poi che, già premiata al Festival di Roma, Scarlett Johansson è stata nominata come Migliore attrice non protagonista per Lei.
