Sono state rivelate a Los Angeles le nomination per la 20esima edizione degli Screen Actors Guild Awards, semplicemente conosciuti come SAG Awards (i premi del sindacato degli attori).
Sono migliaia (circa 2.100) in tutta la nazione americana gli aventi diretto al voto, ed ecco la lista completa degli attori candidati al premio di categoria, che è secondo solo agli Oscar come prestigio ed importanza. Lo scorso anno tre attori su quattro vennero poi premiati con l’Oscar: Daniel Day Lewis (Lincoln), Jennifer Lawrence (Il Lato Positivo) e Anne Hathaway (Les Miserables). Tommy Lee Jones fu invece battuto da Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained).
Quest’anno è 12 Anni Schiavo (12 Years a Slave), l’intensa pellicola di Steve McQueen a dominare con ben quattro candidature, seguito da Dallas Buyers Club, August: Osage County e da Lee Daniels e il suo The Butler, pronto a recuperare terreno dopo essere stato snobbato dai primi riconoscimenti della Season Award.
