Sono state appena annunciate le nomination per gli Annual Producers Guild Awards (PGA Awards), i riconoscimenti assegnata dalla Producers Guild of America (PGA), l’associazione che riunisce oltre 4700 tra i produttori cinematografici e non degli Stati Uniti. Si tratta del secondo premio più importante che un produttore possa vincere dopo l’Oscar al Miglior Film.
Negli ultimi anni il premio ha assunto una certa rilevanza anche come barometro per gli Oscar. Il vincitore delle ultime cinque edizioni si è poi portato a casa l’Oscar come miglior Film (The Artist, No Country For Old Men, The Millionaire, The Hurt Locker, Il Discorso del Re). Le eccezioni nel 2001 (Moulin Rouge!), 2004 (The Aviator), 2005 (Brokeback Mountain) e 2006 (Little Miss Sunshine).
Tante conferme, ma anche qualche sorpresa come la presenza di Skyfall (che pochi giorni fa ha superato il miliardo di dollari). Assenti invece Flight, Lo Hobbit o Il Cavaliere Oscuro – Il Ritorno. Particolarmente plausibile anche la rosa delle pellicole d’animazioni candidate (anche se lo scorso anno vinse Tintin e Rango agli Oscar) Ecco l’elenco completo delle candidature:
