Con la fine della stagione televisiva, cominciano a susseguirsi i premi per l’annata del piccolo schermo che lastricheranno la strada fino a settembre quando avremo gli Emmy. Oggi tocca ai Television Critics Awards, i premi assegnati dall’associazione americana dei critici televisivi.
A trionfare è quella che potremo semplicemente definire buona televisione, anzi la migliore in circolazione: tra le serie drammatiche troviamo Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Homeland, Justified e Mad Men ossia le serie da più parti definite come il meglio, anche se fa rumore l’assenza di Boardwalk Empire. Le commedie sono invece la boccata d’aria per le reti generaliste, schiacciate dal via cavo: in nomina The Big Bang Theory, Community, Louie, Modern Family e Parks and Recreation.
Le serie candidate come migliore novità sono Girls, Homeland, New Girl, Revenge e Smash, mentre come miglior programma dell’anno sono in ballo Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Homeland, Mad Men e Downton Abbey, quest’ultimo a rivaleggiare per la miglior miniserie con Sherlock. Curiosità per gli attori, divisi per categoria ma non per sesso: così come miglior attore di drama troviamo Bryan Cranston, Claire Danes, Peter Dinklage, Jon Hamm e Jessica Lange, mentre per le comedy ci sono Louis C.K., Lena Dunham, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jim Parsons e Amy Poehler.
