Here’s a little big time scoop on Inglourious Basterds, that by the way will be released in Italy by Universal on the 16th of october 2009. Movie Maestro Enzo G. Castellari (director of the original Inglourious Bastards) was interviewed by the Magazine “Il Venerdì di Repubblica” and he spoke about his relationship with Quentin Tarantino and about the shooting of the new movie.

Well, the news is he is in the movie! Here you are his quotes… but be careful… since he plays a role in one of the main sequences of the movie… so…

“I play a Nazi General in the movie. In one scene we are in Paris, during the War. And I have to take a lady into a movie theater. Inside the theather there are all the big nazis, like Joseph Gobbels. They are there to see a new propaganda movie, called Stolz der Nation (The pride of a Country) – that actually is a movie inside our movie, directed by Eli Roth and played by Bo Svenson, my actor in the first Inglourious Basterds. At the screening, you also meet the famous German actress Bridget Von Hammermark (Diane Kruger) and a small group of people who introduce themselves as Italian filmmakers. Brad Pitt says his name is Enzo Girolami, … and that is my real name! Right in that moment, I am in the same shot, behind Brad!

NOW BIG TIME SPOILERS FOLLOWING!!!

“During that scene, I saw Martin Wuttke, the actor who plays Hitler in the movie. He had his blues full of holes (a machine gun) and covered in blood. Eli Roth as well was covered in blood. They told me: “We made what Tom Cruise didn’t”. They referred to Valkyrie and the plot to kill Hitler that failed, and that movie had to respect history”.

Now you can tell that Hitler at least gets hurt!!… so does poor Eli Roth!
